Renowned economist, investment banker and global affairs strategist Dr Sam Ankrah is scheduled to deliver a speech on the Ghanaian economy on Tuesday, November 30.

The speech by Dr Ankrah, who is also chairman of the African Investment Group (AIG), is expected to delve deeper into critical economic areas, including measures to stabilize the economy, mobilize and maximize income as well as growth.

The conference to be held under the auspices of the Institute of Chartered Economists will be on the theme “Restoring Macroeconomic Stability and Revitalization of Ghana: The Word Becomes Flesh”.

Other renowned speakers will also speak at the conference.

The address comes on the back of the current state of the economy and the continued failure of the state of Ghana’s economy since independence.

About the keynote speaker:

Dr Ankrah is an investment banker, global business strategist and development economist. He has more than 20 years of successful experience in fiscal, strategic and operational management in particularly difficult situations.

It has repeatedly generated sustained growth in revenue and EBITA in dynamic and changing markets.

Dr Ankrah has a proven track record in management, finance and economics, investment banking, oil and gas factoring and forfeiture, private pension management and international trade.

Educated in UK with a Statistics and Management degree from University of London, MBA (Finance & Management) and Leadership Advantage Program Certificate from Cranfield School of Management (UK), MSc. in economics, social sciences and doctorate in philosophy and social sciences, all from the Pan American University of Sciences and Medicines.

In addition, Dr Ankrah completed and obtained a Masters in Economics and a Doctorate in Finance from the Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica.

He has acted as a local representative and investment advisor for various multinational companies, including SICPA Suisse and TATA Energy.

Dr Ankrah is certified by the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA), now the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). He spoke and promoted investment opportunities in Africa, educated and encouraged young people to venture on an entrepreneurial vessel on various platforms including UN sub-committees.

He has won several awards, including a special award for achievement of the prestigious GUBA awards.

He has written several academic and non-academic articles in various daily media across the continent.

He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Economist Ghana.

Dr Ankrah co-founded the NAM Fund, a social impact fund for Africa, which is created to contribute and align its investments with upward mobility across the African landscape.

Dr Ankrah is once again a director and partner of the following Swiss investment companies, Kaitan Capital and Rampartners Switzerland.

He is also Chairman of the Board of Ngoya Etix DC Ghana Limited now Onix DC, the first Tier IV data center in sub-Saharan Africa.

He was subsequently elected among the 50 best personalities on the continent for their innovation, their creativity in driving investments in the digital technology industry.
